Hyundai India has officially released a video teaser of the all-new Hyundai Verna 2017 sedan which is expected to launch in India next month.
Hyundai India is all geared up to launch the new generation Hyundai Verna in India soon. Expected to launch next month in India, the South Korean auto maker has released an official video teaser of the all-new 2017 Hyundai Verna sedan with bookings to commence soon. The company has teased the exterior design as well as the interior of the sedan giving a glimpse ahead of its official launch. The sedan has been spotted number of times on Indian roads while testing under camouflage. To be introduced to conquer the ultimate position of best selling mid-size sedan space, the new Verna 2017 will be based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 philosophy with design language similar to that of Tucson and Elantra. It was previously reported that the company might launch the new-gen Hyundai Verna sedan in India on August 22.
On the exterior front, the next generation Verna will sport wider & cascading grille, sweptback headlamps with projector unit at the front proffering the sedan with an appealing look. While, the side profile of the sedan exhibits a sloping roof line along with new pair of 5-spoke alloy wheels that proffers the sedan with a uniform look. The rear end gets a sleek look with bigger wrap-around tail lights and number plate housing has been shifted to the center of the boot lid. In terms of dimensions, the all-new Hyundai Verna gets length of 4,385 mm, width of 1,729 mm and height of 1,450 mm whereas the wheelbase stands at 2,580 mm.
Inside the cabin, the all-new Verna will sport dual tone cabin space unlike the outgoing model. Feature-wise, the sedan will carry keyless entry, push-button start, automatic climate control and rear AC vents. Moreover, the top end variant is expected to sport a 7-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice control & satellite navigation, 3-spoke multi-functional leather steering, gearshift knob and seats and more. In terms of safety, the all-new Verna is likely to bag features like parking sensors, reverse camera, ABS with EBD and 6-airbags.
Coming to the powerhouse options, it is speculated that the company will be employing same set of engine options. However, there is no official statement regarding the same. Going with the speculations, the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel units will be re-tuned as per the new model’s dynamics. To be priced in the range of INR 9 lakh to INR 14 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Hyundai Verna will compete against the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
