Arbaaz Khan has confirmed that Dabangg 3 will go on the floors in mid 2018.
Get set to meet Bollywood’s most dabangg policewala on the big screen. After years of wait, Salman Khan will be back with his chulbul antics on 70mm in Dabangg 3. And Bhai fans can’t keep calm. It’s been a while since producer and actor Arbaaz Khan confirmed the third instalment in the franchise, and now he has finally confirmed that film will go on the floors by mid 2018 .
In an interview to IANS, Arbaaz said, “Yes, we have started scripting the film and I think we will start shooting Dabangg 3 by the middle of the next year.”
Salman, who will reprise the role of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3 , had earlier told DNA that he will simultaneously shoot for Dabangg 3 and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s Bharat next year. “The script of Dabangg 3 is ready. It’s going to start during Bharat, which is Atul and Alvira’s (Agnihotri) film that Ali (Abbas Zafar) is directing. That starts after Remo’s film. Atul’s film requires some gaps. So between the schedules for Atul’s film, I will shoot for Dabangg 3,” he told the daily.
Salman had also confirmed that Dabangg 3 would give an insight into how Chulbul Pandey became Robinhood of his area. “So it’s Chulbul Pandey now and then – what has gone on in his life before part one and two. The flashback will show how Chulbul Pandey actually became Chulbul Pandey. The remaining part will be about what he’s up to now,” he had added.
If Dabangg was a hit, Dabangg 2 was a notch higher, and now all eyes are on Dabangg 3. With Arbaaz stepping down as director, it would be interesting to see if the third instalment is able to recreate the magic once again.
